Summer Adventure with Chainsaws 2011 ! ~#1 June~

Wow, I never post anything since March!? What a shame!

Sorry I’m very lazy about typing English sometime…hahaha!

OK, I’ll post more often! Now, I have to post many things, So, just quick post of my summer.

I was pretty busy with my chainsaws in this Summer!

I and my husband (of course our son Freddy too) were compete at Husky Cup Germany in June 10th to 13th.

We had to have a big box in our carvings.

The Box gonna be “Bee hive”. I carved Big “Bee Queen”!!

 

We were back home June 16th, then the weekend, we had a quick carve 1 day competition at Blue Mountain, PA.

I had a Bad allergy at the comp. My nose running like a son of a gun, sneeze 3 or 4 times a minute…and that was HOT!!! Oh my!!! lol

I carved a Chicken for Bird, a Wolf comes out from log(I know that was awful…hahaha, I’ll practice more) for Mammal, a mermaid for Aqua. All 1 hour each, chainsaw only.

And I got audience judge at Aqua! Thank you, thank you!!

Then, next week, we had another quick carve comp at Schnecksville, PA.

That was, Main piece: Wild life  for 4 hour 15 minute, quick :Bird :Mammal :Aqua for 1 hour each, Open 45minute, chainsaw only.

I carved “Hanging woodcocks” for bird, “a Puppy” for Mammal, “Crayfish pinching Raccoon” for Aqua, “Another puppy” for open, “Pointer puppy caught woodcocks” for main piece.

Oh, I have no pictures for Mammal and Aqua and Open piece…I just post bird and main piece pictures now.

It was tough 3 weekend competitions!!

But we had a great time with carving friends at Germany and PA!!

And my summer was getting more hotter in July…So, I got my car!!! yayayayay!!!

My first time carving show with Chainsaw Chix!!

I had many carving show at Japan, and sometimes carving show with my husband Michael Blaine at USA, but I did carving show with Chainsaw Chix last weekend that was my first time carving show without Michael in USA!! yay!!

I and Sara Winter(one of Chainsaw Chix) and Jen Ruth(Agent of Chix, also member of Chix) did great show at JACKS SMALL ENGINES‘s open house, Jarrettsville, MD.

We had a little talk at radio station 98Rock of Baltimore on 25th Friday. That was great fun time!! Thank you for 98Rock, Mickey, and Special thanks Amelia who asked to me situation of Japan…Thank you for your kindness.

I will make another blog post for Japan later….

After the radio we went to Jacks Small Engines to set tent up.

Friday night, we went out to enjoy Baltimore and promotion with Mickey.

Mickey let people know who we are, then we talked to many people. They love the Chainsaw Chix very much!! Thank you Mickey and his friends!!!

Saturday, we did a one hour carving show 3 times !!

I carved a horse head, then some girl wants to buy that, but her father said “it’s too big”. She doesn’t want give up the horse head, then she asked to me carve smaller one for her.

I carved smaller one,  made her happy, that made me happy too!

Second show piece was a chubby chicken, third one was a small cat.

Sorry not much good pictures, I was busy busy busy!! lol

Sara carved an eagle head with feather, a butterfly, and a bear with sign.

Thank you again JACKS SMALL ENGINES for let us carving!! Such a Great shop and nice staff & stuff!! They were all helpful and  so kind.

Jen was supported us, talked to people, sell our carvings. She also driving for me…thank you so much, Jen!!

Sara was so helpful, I borrowed many things from her, and she and Jen made me big laugh all the time, like this!

I was little nervous about I left my 3 years old son Freddy, and Michael. But They had a great Boys time, I called to Michael and Freddy several times, but Freddy was so cool. He never say “please come back, mommy!”… Yes, he is big boy now!! wow.

Michael was sharpen all my chainsaws, that was really good!! I could carve fast, because of sharp saws. Thank you, Michael!!

I back to home late Saturday, and got lest Sunday, pack and left home to Ohio Monday!

It’s Michael’s turn now, he is carving racoons for his customer. We will carving in North East Ohio area for while.

And we are invited to Germany to compete Husky Cup what is great international competition in June!!

Let’s carve harder!!!!

Happy New Year 2011!!!!!

Happy Happy New Year 2011 for everyone!!

We had wonderful Christmas at NH, deriver the order Golden Retriever (Customer was very happy!! Thank you!!), then came back to PA 29th midnight, horse ride with my friends 30th (Freddy did ride a pony!!!!!), little bit shopping and unpacking 31th, then New Year’s Day!!!

Golden in the COLD!!! #1 @ Green Ohio

We are in Green Ohio now.

It’s very cold outside! But we are keep carving!! yay!

I’m carving Golden Retriever.

 

Michael is carving Huge Indian Chief!  The Customer is very good people, they called to newspaper, and Michael got the front page of Akron Beacon Journal, Friday, December 17, 2010! yay yay yay!!! Thank you very much!!

 

Read the newspaper on line!!

Michael got another huge stump job already from another customer who read the newspaper!! We will return to Ohio again in February, between Groundhog day and Ridgway Rendezvous!!

Tree is pin oak, very tough wood and frozen, hard hard hard!!!

Michael will finish the chief today(I’m off today. Play with our son Freddy!) I’ll finish my golden tomorrow, then post again!

Chix carved Rooster!! ~Small carvings~

Hi, everyone!!

I carved Rooster yesterday.

  

Chainsaw only. maybe 1 hour.

All chainsaw only. Last one is Japanese long tail rooster at carving show for drive in.

Oh, I had glasses!! Glasses are not necessary now because I got the Lasik, yay!!!

And some now (wow, it’s already 3 weeks old!! hahaha) small carvings.

My name is Aya Blaine, I’m Japanese, born in 1974.

I started Chainsaw Carving April 2004.

I married Michael in 2007.

I gave birth to our son Freddy in 2008.

We live in White Haven Pennsylvania.

I’m live in USA since Sep. 2009, but my English is still not so good. Please forgive my strange English! lol

So, I’m keep trying to get better English. Maybe sometimes I’ll edit my bad English…hahaha!
